Association of Ukrainian Designers in Paris: Defile des Debutants 2024
Hello, creative souls and fashion lovers! We are the Association of Ukrainian Designers in Paris, a team of enthusiasts and volunteers who devote their time to supporting Ukrainian designers in their journey on the French market. We organize shows, pop-up shops and exhibitions, showcasing the work of Ukrainian designers in the heart of fashionable Paris.
In 2023, we held the first Defile Des Debutants competition, which was a great success. Eight talented winners presented their works at a show at the luxurious Normandie Hotel in the 1st arrondissement of Paris. The audience was amazed by the creativity, and the designers received well-deserved recognition, making their first appearance on the Paris fashion scene.
This year we are very excited to announce the start of the second season of Defile des Debutants. We are waiting for applications from all creative personalities who are ready to contribute to the fashion world. The commission will select 5 winners in the category “fashion designer” and three in the category “accessories and footwear designer”. The exact date of the show will be published on our Instagram.
We invite everyone to take part in this unique event. The event is absolutely free, except for a symbolic contribution of 5 euros, which is necessary for a serious attitude to participation, avoiding undesirable situations (for members of the association, participation in the competition, as well as attendance at the show is free).
Conditions of participation in the competition:
1. Debut in the industry: The competition is intended for debutants in the fashion industry. Designers and students who present their collections on the world stage for the first time are allowed.
2. Creative vision: The jury will evaluate the participants’ creative vision, originality and innovation in the presentation of fashion collections.
3. Winners: The best debutants will be announced on Instagram by May 11 and will have until the end of August to prepare their collections.
How to participate:

3. Pay the participation fee of 5 euros (for members of the association, participation in the competition and attendance at the screening is free) (link to payment).
4. Submit sketches of your work by April 30, 2024.
5. Sketch format: 5-6 works for each designer.
6. For finished works – provide photos.
7. It is mandatory to have at least one finished work by April 30 for shoes and accessories.
